Sometimes it’s in a school’s interest to bring in an “outside expert” to facilitate or support whatever is on the institutional agenda. At other times simply an extra set of hands in the form of a short-term and part-time administrator might significantly ease the load that a school’s admin team is shouldering. Individual Mentoring

Short-term or ongoing coaching to help a head of school, administrator, or teacher reflect on one’s practice, navigate the school landscape, or address a particular concern.

Instructional Support

A season of coaching in instructional practice to a group of teachers who could benefit from more robust mentoring than a school’s admin team is able to provide.

Mission Matters

A day or two during which a “Visiting Friend” spends time in classrooms and in conversation with various constituent groups, reflecting back to the community evidence of its core identity and affirming the connections between purpose and practice.

Stepping Back: Reflective Practice Workshops and Retreats

In the day-to-day crush of school life, educators too rarely take the time to honor the work to which they have dedicated themselves. This program provides an opportunity for school personnel to reflect upon and share the stories of their professional journeys, identify their guiding values, and examine in the company of colleagues the joys and challenges of school life.

Special Projects

Unload a discrete administrative project that you’ve been meaning to get to for months, but don’t have the time, cognitive bandwidth, or staffing to carry out successfully.

Document Review and Editing

Carry out a review of school documents – parent handbooks, faculty and staff handbooks, board policy manuals, and more – that could benefit from a set of outside eyes and an experienced editor to create more rationally-organized and user-friendly materials.
